Hey there – I’m Sarah Belanus, founder and Fractional CMO at CellSignal Scientific Marketing.
And you should probably know that I didn’t start in marketing – I started in the lab.
Before I ever touched a brand strategy or built a content campaign, I was managing research labs and navigating the world of academic science. I’ve directed admissions at a life sciences university, led marketing inside CROs, site networks, and health tech startups, and spent over 15 years bridging the gap between complex science and clear communication.
That scientific foundation is exactly what makes my work different.
I don’t just understand the science – I understand how to position it. I know what your sponsors need to hear and what your clients are really asking for, even when they can’t articulate it themselves. I’m a systems thinker who’s used to being dropped into big problems and getting to clarity quickly.
And I don’t do it alone. I’m highly collaborative, often working across research, operations, and business development teams to make sure everyone’s rowing in the same direction – and that your value shows up clearly at every touchpoint.
From biotechnology and pharmaceuticals to medical devices, nutraceuticals, and cosmeceuticals, I’ve worked across the life sciences spectrum – helping teams clarify their positioning, land bigger contracts, and move toward long-term growth.
If you’re ready for a marketing partner who speaks science and strategy, I’d love to connect.
